Table Setting Tips
Tie a piece of pretty colored ribbon around the center of a loosely gathered white napkin. Fold napkin in half onto your favorite plate so that the bow rests at the top of the plate (at twelve o'clock to be exact). |
Tuck cut flowers into napkins: First, fold the napkin by laying it flat, and fold in half widthwise so the folded edge is near you. Fold the top layer down halfway. Turn napkin over, and fold the edges into the center. Fold napkin in half. Tuck flower into pocket. |
Arrange votive candles around table and around the indoor or outdoor setting. |
Use a collection of 4 or 5 potted herbs in small terracotta pots as a centerpiece. They're a feast for all the senses. |
Fill a large blue or green glass vase with sunflowers. |
Place a series of small flower arrangements down the center of the table. |
Decorate the table with a compote bowl piled high with fruit. Figs, peaches, and grapes look nice together. |
