A few things you might not know about tea:
Legend has it that Chinese emperor Shennong discovered tea in 2737 B.C.E., when tea leaves blew into his pot of boiling water. The United States is the only country in which iced tea is more popular than hot tea. Tea played an important part in the American Revolution, as the tea tax in the American colonies paved the way for the Boston Tea Party. Brewed tea is high in antioxidants, which promote heart health and may help prevent cancer. In 1904 bagged tea was invented in the United States.
